Well, it really has been a while, hasn't it? We're pleased to announce the release of Perrine 33. Enjoy the episode and sorry again about the delays, we're hopefully going to be able to release some more of this show soon.

We're also currently looking for help to get more of Perrine released. We need pretty much anyone who's interested in working on it. The translations for the show are complete, we are mostly in need of editors/QCers for this show. That's it for now, thanks for hanging in there with us guys.

It's difficult to summon much energy after completing a long series like Saiunkoku S2, but now we return to an even longer series, Perrine, with a new episode for your enjoyment.

The voyage to Ranshuu is over, and now Shuurei, Ryuuki, Tan-tan, Seiran, Shuuei and all the others must pick up the threads of their lives. Some plot threads have been resolved; others remain to untangle, for some future season 3, perhaps.

From the outset, this project has been a seamless collaboration between Animanda and C1, and rarely has a joint project worked so smoothly, or so well. I would like to mention, among others, Planao, the tireless translator; AIP and le, who timed most of the series; animorc, typesetter, encoder, and jack of all trades; KaiserDragon, whose karaokes grace so many episodes; Copycatken, desolo, Infro, LGDArm, Nameraka, vashfanatic, and the whole army of QC's from both groups, who worked tirelessly to keep the names, places, grammar, spelling, and relationships straight; and our group leads, Ishie and EmptySoul, who formed the team and kept us working.

To everyone who worked on it, and everyone who watched, our thanks. Sayonara!

Well, after one relatively action-packed episode, Saiunkoku Monogatari S2 returns to its leisurely, wordy ways, as Ensei, Tan-Tan, and Shuuei pick up the pieces from the previous encounter. The main characters are ready to go home now, and we are too, with just one episode left. We won't leave you hanging. ;)

Shuurei and friends begin the perilous journey to Kyuusai Cove in order to find Ryuuki and bring him home, hopefully alive. Lots of other characters are heading there as well, as the final arc of Saiunkoku season 2 winds towards its climax.

The screen-cap sort of reminds me of "Peter Pan no Bouken," but there's really no resemblance...

As you may remember, there was a long break in the project between episodes 20 and 21, when the translator was off finishing her degree. Episode 21 suffered from the break in continuity, and a number of spelling mistakes made it into the final release.

Since the series will be done soon, we wanted to clean up those problems. A v2 wlll be included in the final batch torrent. In the meantime, we've posted a torrent for the v2:

With the revelations of the past episode safely behind us, it's time to start a new arc of the story. Shuuei has made his decision; now Ryuuki makes his. All the other characters must scramble to meet this new turn of events.

This episode brings surprises in the developments of two major characters: Shuuei, general of the Urin Army and Ryuuki's sometime friend; and Shusui, chief palace lady and Ryuuki's sometime comforter. There's no going back to the status quo after these events.

This brings to an end our spurt of apparent energy; we now resume our normal lethargic release schedule for this series. Thank you for your understanding.

The screencap for 30 would seem to promise some Shuurei x Jyuusan-hime action, but ... fuggedaboudit. There's never any action of that kind in Saiunkoku! Anyway, the new arc continues to unfold, the perils around Shuurei and Jyuusan-hime grow more ominous, and everyone seems to be working at cross-purposes. In short, it's business as usual!

Another Saiunkoku episode... you'd almost think we had some momentum on this series. Actually, we do, thanks to some welcome additions to our QC teams (Infro and desolo).

Anyway, the plot thickens, as Shuurei investigates "the ghosts of the prison dead" and meets a one-eyed man who seems to know all too much about the situation. But is the plot aimed at Ran-shogun, or Jyuusan-hime? Or is its purpose far more sinister?

She's been sent to the capital to marry the ever-vacillating Emperor Ryuuki, but Sinister Forces are at work, both to further and oppose this plan. And how will Shuurei feel about it?

We've posted a batch for the first half of Saiunkoku Monogatari Season 2, covering episodes 1-20. We'll leave the individual torrents up for a few days, but then they'll go away.

Does this mean more Saiunkoku is imminent? Sort of. We have scripts for all the remaining episodes, and all but the last two are timed, edited, and typeset. The problem is QC. This series is fiendishly difficult to check, because of the profusion of character and place names, and the need for consistency with so many prior episodes.

In Christmastime in Paris for Nodame, Chiaki, and the crew. As Chiaki is haunted by the ghosts of Christmas past, an old friend turns up unexpectedly to help Nodame celebrate in Christmas present. Mayhem ensues, as usual.

As with S1 of Nodame, the good intentions of the project team to be timely have been swamped by Real Life. Both the translator and editor have new jobs, which are consuming almost all free cycles. And Swan, our beloved encoder, is retiring (inu-desu will be taking over her). We'll keep this series moving forward, though, because we're all looking forward to the recently announced Season 3!

Chiaki returns from his tour overseas, only to find Nodame in the Slough of Despond, as she realizes the overwhelming knowledge gap between her and the other Conservatoire students. But it doesn't take long for Nodame to bounce back... or for Chiako to regret what he impulsively did to cheer her up.

But that's not good enough for some villainous officials, who want Shuurei banished entirely. Suddenly, all joukan without jobs are subject to dismissal. So here are six episodes of Nodame Cantabile (17-22), in both SD and glorious HD resolution. What happened, you ask, to produce such an avalanche of episodes? Basically, constraints on resources forced us to tackle the typesetting from the easiest episode to the hardest; so episode 21, for example, was ready first, and episode 17 last. And now they're all ready at once.

These episodes take the story to its climax: Chiaki-kun's creation of his orchestra, and Nodame's participation in her first ever competition. But there's still one more episode, to unwind all the plot strands: as they say, More To Come.

I know what you're thinking... Nodame Cantabile ep10, nearly a year after the last release? Well, real life dealt the team a couple of jabs last spring, and the project had to be shelved. But now the team is reassembling, and we intend to finish season one to prepare the way for season two in October.
ArabianSwan has graciously agreed to take over the encoding, so that inuyasharenegade can focus on Mar. Also, starting with episode 13, the HD releases will be softsubbed.

We're pleased to announce that we're going to be continuing Saiunkoku Monogatari as a joint project with Animanda. We've made a few changes which is why we've decided to re-release episodes 01 and 02. We fixed a major problem in the opening song and changed over to soft subs for the releases. We also re-released to make sure that the terminology stays consistent through all of our episodes. In the tradition of Haruka, we decided to do a new dating sim anime: Angel in Love Angelique ~When the Heart Awakens~. It follows the story of a girl named Angelique, who finds she is destined to save a galaxy with the help of 9 beautiful male guardians. Well, it's our pleasure to announce that Haruka has been licensed by Bandai USA! This is of course good news as a lot more people will get to see the show. This was one of our very first projects and we were lucky to have been able to work on it and finish it. We'd also like to thank all of you who stuck it out with us through the tough times in the show's status and believed in us while we worked diligently on it. Here's a treat for all Tokimeki Memorial - Only Love fans: the missing 26th episode. Fitting between the 17th and 18th TV broadcasts (hence the name 17.5), this is a side story featuring Utsumi Koayu, the shapely captain of the swim team, who has, well, let's just call it body image issues. Well guys the HD version is still going its just been a busy week anyway after a bunch of complaints about the mp4 container i have changed it to MKV to make it easier for ppl also i am still using AVC Level 4.1 for the nodame encodes so it should still work on lower end computers in the 2.5 GHZ with libavcodec in FFDshow but if it doesnt then u might have to use CoreAVC anywho.

Well it's kind of a sad thing to let go of the past... The forums of old are now gone, we've updated and made some new ones. We'll all miss them, some of us even more than others. Some of us still remember the days of the original C1Anime, and the forums were sort of like the last thing to help us remember the past. But, we all have to move on to new things. Sometimes we just need to start off with a clean slate.

Our forums in the past have been a place full of angry posts or rants about things, so it'll be nice to get a fresh start on things in a sense too. We hope you guys enjoy them! There are also new forums for some of the series' that never had them before, as well as retaining the old sub-forums from before. That's it for now, and look forward to more releases in the future!!

As many of you may or may not know we've had a lot of posts going on in our forums about Mar not going fast enough, and basic flames toward both groups in general. This isn't just going on in our forums, it's happening to AnY/SS too. As a whole we really want this to stop. We all do our best, and just want people to see the show, if we could do it faster we would. There is no bad blood between our groups, so there's no need to go to either place and flame "This group is better..." etc. As for the rest of you guys who've been loyal Mar fans, we thank you. There is a v2 of Usagi-chan de Cue, episode 2. This fixes 15 seconds of missing audio at the end of the episode.

It's possible to "fix up" the v1 file, rather than downloading all of v2.
- Start the v2 torrent, and then stop it
- Delete the v2 file that was created
- Rename the v1 file to the full v2 name
- Force your BT client to recheck the file (in Azureus, right click on the torrent and select Force Recheck from the pop-up menu)
- Resume the torrent
Only about 6% of the v2 file will need to be downloaded.

Another new project. This one is an old old classic, part of the "World Masterpiece Theatre" series. I'm proud to be translating this awesome anime that I liked so much as a little girl. I was so happy to find out that I'll be able to see the original Japanese version, and after I watched it again I still liked it so much, that I want the whole world to see it and love it~
We're going to be releasing episodes of Peter Pan every week or 2 (Or try at least, you never know), so don't forget to come back to check up on it every once in a while :)

We're discussing it and we'll post news when we decide. As for the torrent files, scarywater doesn't allow licensed anime to be on its tracker, so we had to remove them. Massugu ni Ikou... this anime came out in 2003, and I'm embarrassed to say how long it's been in the process of being subbed... Actually, this was the first anime I've ever translated, a long long time ago. I had lost all my hopes of it ever being released, when we created this aflux-c1 joint and c1 brought it back to life. It took a lot of hard work, but it was worth it... it's really a sweet show and I hope a lot of people will give it a try and like it as much as I do.
The other episodes (there are 4 of them) will also be out shortly. :)

Well... we're really sad to hear this considering we were about to put kamichu back on our priority list and release more... But unfortunatly for us, or maybe more fortunate for the fans, Geneon has announced that they're licensing the show. Personally as a Kamichu fan myself, I'm very happy of this news. We'd really like to thank all of you for sticking with us throughout this series and for the support you have given us even though we'd been going really slow with it. Unfortunatly our general policy is to not sub licensed anime, so once this is confirmed a bit more we'll be removing our torrents and downloads. The torrent on scarywater has been replaced with a fixed one thanks to descender (see http://www.c1anime.net/forums/viewthread.php?threadID=392 for details). If you've already opened the torrent in Azureus you'll need to remove a cached copy of the torrent before you try again. The file is named 360DF383ACD182920FDD12915B6388CC808FACE6.dat and is located in the folder specified under "Tools | Options... | Files | Torrents | Save Directory." Sorry for the trouble.

As to the questions of many of you, there is some sort of problem with the mushishi 9 torrent, it wont open with Azureus for some reason. We tried to fix the problem but for some reason it still wont work... so what we reccomend is to either drop by irc and use the high speed bots to get it, or to try another client such as bittornado. Either works... we're really sorry about the inconvienence, and maybe we'll be able to figure out why it's doing this and fix it soon.

Well, I thought I'd post here as well, we've been needing some distro help for a long time, and while we now have a sufficient amount of XDCC bots, we don't really have the bittorent help we need. So this is a call for help to you, the fans. If you think you can help us seed our releases on the release day and you have decent upload speed, come to our irc channel and give an op a message about it. We really hate to have to ask here, but we really aren't getting many volunteers through Irc alone. We're looking forward to meeting new people and I hope that some of you volunteer to help us distro our releases. Also... for those of you wondering, there are benefits to being on our distro team.

1. You get our releases before anyone else, and in a much quicker method than bittorent.

2. You'll recieve a voice in our irc channel and thus have a higher status in there compared to others.

Well, thanks to our encoder, Meatwad, we were able to obtain a Daicon video. Without Daicon the studio Gainax may not have come into existance. It's basically a music video type thing that was shown at an Anime Con around 1980, and it became a tradition type thing. Enjoy the release, its a torrent release only and here's the link to the torrent.

It's about a girl who is an orphan and is sponsored to come to America for school. Well, as you guys may have noticed, Honey and Clover is out. Hello..... updating from down in California. And.... aologizing. Mar 8 Isn't out yet because  I haven't finished translating it yet... because the raw was corrupt and I only 1/2 finished it. Well, sorry to say we decided to drop some other stuff that isn't really worth doing. We're going to clean up the project menu on the left and the forums a bit. We'll be dropping these series from the site and from fansubbing.

1. Buzzer Beater - Already dropped, but wasn't removed from the site yet.

2. Eye Shield 21 - Dropped (no point in continuing this really.)

3. Izumo - Another group is doing it, and the joint group seems to not care about the show, so you guys can grab the releases from Angelic Anime, we wont be doing any more.

4. Hunter x Hunter - dropped - It's just not worth re-doing at this point we think... With luck this should licensed very soon, and the project is going so slow that it'll never be released anyway.

Sorry about this, everyone. I know some of you guys were looking forward to releases to these things, but we just dont have time to take care of all of this anymore, and some of it is just a huge lost cause. We'll be continuing the remaining projects and probably pick up one more in a few months or so. Once again we appologize, and thank you all for your continued support.

Buzzer Beater: We're going to be dropping this show. There's just no point in continuing at this point, and the translator has lost interest. We're sorry.

Harukanaru: I said before that we wouldn't give up on this project, and we arent, it still lives, but things are coming along very slowly, please be patient.

Xenosaga: Well, this is in its final stages, we'll be finishing this up today or tomorrow, with luck at least.

We're happy to release the second episode of EyeShield. We worked very hard to get this out, and hope you all enjoy this great show. Also due to heavy requests, we changed the font coloring and it is no longer the dark red. Again I'm(emptysoul) sorry for using a bad font color. Buzzer episode 07 is now out for your viewing pleasure. Thank you all for your patience while we've caught up. I'd also like to draw your attention to our new encodes for this show. We're now going to be doing High Quality 230mb releases in mkv shells using ACC audio with Xvid. This will improve quality drastically, and that way we can all enjoy the episodes even more than before. Thanks for all the support. Our final Xenosaga episodes should be out this weekend.

Okay, I thought I'd do a quick update on our new projects for this season. I'm happy to officially announce that we're going to be subbing the following series' this spring: Izumo with RevQuest, Eye Shield 21, MaR, and Honey and Clover. Look forward to these, as they will be released sometime in the near future. Also look forward to the two final episodes of Xenosaga and more Buzzer.

We would like to officially announce the beginning of one of our newest projects: Buzzer Beater! This anime is based off the web comic drawn by Inoue Takehiko, the man made famous for his eternally awsome manga series Slam Dunk! In fact, this new anime is about basketball as well. So... go and get it! :)
